This was interesting I happened upon this network. If you are a part of this community this is really interesting. For those who are not it still makes interesting reading. They have links to other good ministries on there as well as a newsletter that looks pretty good. They seem very inclusive and I think that is a brilliant thing amongst the denominations. Check it out

While searching for websites geared towards women in ministry I came across this:

It had some really interesting articles that might give you some encouragement and if nothing else some background information to the subject area. The experience of the two people writing the first article is really interesting. Shows that there is a lot of interest in this area.

This is a project that comes out of La Sierra University as a support for women in ministry. Although this is a Seventh-day Adventist project I think it has information on there that all women in ministry would find useful. They organise many different events in USA. There are many different resources you can sign up for. I really want to visit it in person so if anyone gets the chance please let me know what its like.

This project was setup to support young ordained women. It goes across denominations but is for ordained women therefore those denominations which have yet to take the step to ordain women might find it slightly more difficult to join. However the offer a number of programmes which would be of great value to the newly ordained minister in the USA. Once you sign up a whole new community is opened up to you I think its worth giving a go if you are in USA and ordained.

This is a book for women entering ministry whether its pastoral or voluntry ministry. It is there to encourage and uplift women everywhere as they begin their training for this most precious of tasks. It is meant to encourage you, make you laugh and share the wisdom of others as you journey on this path.

The Sturcture

Each woman has been asked to write a letter to a woman in minstry and what you will see in this blog are excertps from letters and also other relevant information and reviews of websites that might help. The book is the full collection of letters.

The Aim

The aim is to get the book to every seminary in the world and to every woman beginning her training to be a minister of the Lord. The aim is to create a book of encouragement and wisdom that women can use as they journey through their studies to ministry positions all over the world.

Dear Woman in Ministry,

I pray that God is continuing to uplift and keep you as you do His important work.

My name is Tabitha Cedenio and I am just finishing my ministerial training at Newbold College, England. While doing this course I have become more and more aware of how important it is to have role models and support in this journey of ministry. I have the privilege of knowing many women who are pioneering and are able to share their experience, wisdom, encouragement and support on this journey.

However I am painfully aware that not everyone has this available to them.

The journey for each woman in ministry is different however the support that we can give to each other as we walk this journey is invaluable. For a woman coming into ministry the words of wisdom, the encouragement, the support and the prayers of women who have already taken the journey can make all the difference.

This book is the beginning of sharing the experience of women in ministry across denominations, countries and cultures. The book will contain letters written to women beginning their journey in ministry from women in ministry currently or having been in ministry before. The book will contain letters of encouragement, tips, joy and many others.

We would like to invite you to join in this special ministry of sharing and uplifting others in their walk in ministry. The hope is that this will be given to women in seminaries everywhere to lift them up as they journey on.

If you are interested in contributing to this project I have attached the submission guidelines (you will be surprised how easy it is). More details are on or email

Thank you for taking the time to read this letter and I pray we will work together on this project.

God bless

Tabitha Cedenio

This blog has been set up to promote support for those in ministry. The first phase of this support is for women entering into ministry. The idea is that all those women who has been called to ministry and go off to college or university or get involved in ministry have the opportunity to receive support from those who have gone before.

It is about gathering the wealth of experience that is out there of women in ministry currently and sharing that with those entering into this calling.

This is a inter-denominational, cross-country and multi-cultural project it is not limited to one denomination or other and is there to support all women.

I hope that in doing this we will be able to encourage those not only entering ministry but in ministry as well.
